The crucial roles of forests in addressing climate change and conserving biodiversity in Papua New Guinea

PNG's rich cultural diversity and natural heritage offer a unique opportunity to build resilient, sustainable partnerships through cooperation and mutual respect to create solutions that address global challenges, from climate change to economic development, ensuring a better future for all.

— Ambassador Jacques Fradin, Head of Delegation to PNG

Welcome to the EU-FCCB Programme

The EU-FCCB Programme is a cooperation programme funded by the European Union and established in partnership with the Government of Papua New Guinea, represented by the Department of National Planning and Monitoring (DNPM). It is the European Union's largest environmental programme in the Pacific Islands region. The Programme has three components managed by three implementing partners: Expertise France, FAO, and CIFOR-ICRAF.

2. Increase knowledge and awareness of FCCB-related issues among the PNG population.

3. Increase inclusive and gender-responsive green public and private sector investments and deforestation-free livelihoods.
